Thumbprint Programme - a success

Creggan Enterprises is pleased to announce all participants involved with its new Pathways to Employment Job Creation Scheme THUMB PRINT have successfully completed their Induction Training and are now placed in employment with local employers.

This innovative £150,000 programme promoted and designed by Creggan Enterprises to assist the long-term unemployed into sustained employment through comprehensive personal training modules covering:

Communication Development
Conflict Management
Community Relations in the Work-Place
Job Search
Health and Safety
Business Start-Up
Social Economy Strategies
Social Auditing

Local training organisations involved in the delivery of the programme were, the Social Economy Agency, Holywell Trust, The Holos Project, Lestas Consulting and Community Development Learning Initiative.

Speaking on behalf of Creggan Enterprises, Conal McFeely said: “We acknowledge the support of our Support Employers – Creggan Country Park, Blast Furnace, CALMS, Guildhall Press, NWTPL, Aras Tar Abhaile, SIGN FX, Skeoge Electrics, Bluestream Construction, and Naiscoil Na Rinne.

“We thank the Local Strategy Partnership and the EU Peace II Programme for their financial support. Also our training partners in assisting Creggan Enterprises to demonstrate that it is possible to find pathways to sustained employment for those most excluded from the labour market.”
